Singles Ministry consists of never married and single again adults who are age 18 and older. Monthly activities are scheduled.
Men’s Ministry meets quarterly for prayer and breakfast. During the summer a fishing trip is scheduled, and in the fall a retreat is planned in northern Arizona.
The Ladies Ministry connects ladies into organized groups which schedule monthly lunches, special monthly prayer for children, and various activities.
Children’s Ministry serves as an excellent time for children of all ages to learn about God’s love and His Word. Sunday morning classes are held for infants thru eighth grades.
Hyphen Ministry consists of college and career ages 18-30. They meet every Sunday morning and have monthly scheduled activities.
Youth Ministry, organized for ages 12-18, schedule events including prayer, activities, worship services and a Sunday morning class tailored for teens.
Acts of Praise is a versatile visual ministry that draws and captivates people ministering through music using acting and interpretive sign language and complete drama productions.
Music Ministry features Praise & Worship teams, choirs for children and adults, chorales for youth and adults, which make the music ministry an essential part of every service.
Bible Study Ministry offers studies to those who are interested in learning more about God’s Word. These studies are conducted at the individual’s home or any convenient location.
Bible Quizzing, including both Junior and Senior Bible Quizzers (ages 5-18), takes place from September 1st of every year concluding with a National tournament in July.
Jonathan Tubbs, an ordained minister with the UPCI, is married to Hannah, and they are both natives of the state of Tennessee. They have 3 boys - Andersen, Ethan, and Gentry. Jonathan is extremely fond of and dedicated to his family.
Jonathan has served in various capacities, both in the local church and on a broader scope. These include (locally): Sunday School teacher of various age groups, children’s ministry worker, youth pastor, assistant pastor, outreach director, and more. He has also served as a senior pastor for 13 years.
On a broader scope, Jonathan has served as the North American Missions Director and the Tennessee Revival Fire Prayer Meeting Director in Section 10 of the TN District UPCI. He also ministered as an evangelist for 6 years. Jonathan has been preaching since the age of 20 – which has included several engagements in various settings. Jonathan loves God, His kingdom, and people.
Bishop Gary Hogan, a graduate of Christian Life College, Stockton, CA, is the founding pastor of Christ Temple.
After a three-year pastorate in Palmdale, CA, he and his wife, Elaine, opened the doors of Christ Temple in June of 1976.
Bishop Hogan served on the Arizona District United Pentecostal Church (UPCI) board for twenty years, twelve of those years as AZ District Superintendent. He also served as the Southwest Regional Presbyter of the UPCI, Int’l.
